Keep a 34% tax increase off of your favorite distilled spirits products! Take Action NOW by thanking your alderperson for keeping distilled spirits taxes out of the mayor’s budget!

Earlier this month, the Chicago mayor released his budget proposal, which would have increased current alcohol taxes by more than 34%! Thanks to your great work, the alcohol taxes have since been dropped from the proposal likely making this the first Chicago tax increase to be outright defeated in 40 years.

With a final vote upcoming, we are ALMOST officially out of the woods. We need you to thank your alderperson for keeping distilled spirits taxes out of the budget so that this tax increase doesn’t come back!

If it does, more than 300 Chicagoans are projected to lose their jobs with a more than $25 million decline in retail alcohol sales.
